My buddy Owen

Owen and I instantly clicked. The first 5 minutes of our session together went something like this:

"Hi Jenny!"
"Hi Owen!"
"Do you want to see my cars?"
"Wow! Those are cool. What color is that one, Owen?"
"Red! Are you coming to the beach with us, Jenny?"
"I sure am, Owen."
"Hey, Jenny!"
"Hey, Owen!"

This little squirt totally melted me. I got the biggest kick out of him. Neither Jaime nor I could figure out why he started calling me Jenny...no one really calls me that except my family and a few random friends from high school. And Owen, of course. And I truly wish I could replicate in words the sound that Owen started making to imitate the clicking sound the camera made when I took pictures. Part broken down car, part machine gun...100% hilarious. I had the best time, Jaime and Keith! It was great meeting you guys.

Leo

It was a rainy morning, but that didn't stop us from having a blast taking Leo's two-year photos at the Lincoln Park Conservatory on Monday. Although trying to get Leo to don a Santa hat for a really cute premeditated holiday card shot turned out to be an epic fail, he rocked plenty of other really great poses. We had a great time exploring the conservatory and gardens together. It was so nice meeting you, Kim and Marty!

Piper and Amelia

She didn't cry when she missed a catch and accidently got hit right in the face with a baseball. Nor did she cry when she went flying right off a swing and landed with a terrible thud. But our little friend Piper had such a great time playing around with me and Mike (despite her random mishaps!) last Sunday morning that she did cry when the session was over and we parted ways. Piper won us over last year when she tossed one of her little Crocs into Lake Michigan during our first photo shoot together. Her tears on Sunday endeared her to us even further. The session really was a blast. Not only did we have the chance to run around the beautiful grounds at Promontory Point and hit up a nearby playground with Piper, but we also got to meet her brand new baby sister, Amelia, for the first time. Congratulations again, Darlene and Jeff, on your new arrival! Mike and I love getting to watch your family grow.

Meet Adelaide

It was a beautiful, breezy, sunny morning and I had a great time enjoying it with Emily, Ted and little Adelaide last Monday. We started at Buckingham Fountain, then walked along the lake, taking in the boats and ducks and sparkling water. Adelaide had a great time running around Millennium Park, checking out her reflection in The Bean and munching on crackers. It was so nice meeting you, Emily and Ted! Thanks for spending the morning with me.
