It was our freshman year of high school and the first formal dance was impending. I already had a date and desperately wanted my best friend, Rosa, to come, too. Since it was a turn-around, I innocently suggested, "Hey, why don't you ask that guy from religion class?" She did, and even though we all had a good time at the dance, things never panned out romantically for the two of them. It's a good thing. "That guy" turned out to be my future husband! But from that point on, the three of us were a tight-knit group. Rosa, Mike and I kept in touch after high school, during college and even after Rosa bravely packed her bags and moved across the country to Seattle.
As Rosa was falling head over heals in love with her new city, she met and fell in love with Peter. You can't even imagine how thrilled Mike and I were when she recently announced their engagement. And how over-the-moon we were when she asked us to shoot their wedding. It was amazing to be such a big part of her big day...to get a sneak peek at all of the fun details she was planing, to be with her through every major moment of the day, to meet Peter for the first time and to see how happy he makes her. It was so nice to see Rosa's family after ten years...you haven't changed a lick, Joon, Mr. and Mrs. J and 'Halmeoni'! And, as an added bonus, Mike and I got to catch up with a handful of our favorite former Canton Central Catholic Crusaders, too. It was a fun and simply beautiful day.
Rosa and Peter, congratulations again. We wish you only the best as you start your life together in Seattle. Thank you again for having us be a special part of your big day...keep in touch!
