The home of the brave

Our friend Lachelle is one of the strongest people I have ever met. Since we met at Denison, we have been through the best of times and the worst of times together, and through even the toughest times, she has unfailingly retained her friendly, sincere, optimistic attitude and her brave smile. This is the hometown girl who moved across the country by herself to start a successful life in California a few years ago. And the girl who is wrapping up her training for the Chicago Marathon, just a few months away. And after this morning, Lach can definitely add "next top model" to her brag list because she ROCKED IT OUT during her family session! Mike and I were honored when Lachelle asked us to take some family photos at the Museum of Science and Industry during her parents visit to Chicago this weekend. These pictures are important as Lachelle's dad deploys for Iraq at the end of this month. We sincerely hope that these photos will help you all through the time you must spend apart.

Mr. S...good luck and Godspeed. You will be in our thoughts as we pray for your quick and safe return. Mrs. S...we will see you in October at the marathon. Really liked your plan to eat as many calories as Lachelle will burn that day as we cheer her on!
