Nina and Scott

We had such a great time getting to know Nina and Scott last Sunday afternoon as we strolled around North Beach and Lincoln Park. It was the perfect late summer/early fall day to celebrate this happy couple's engagement and we couldn't have had a better time. Nina, for this having been your first professional photo session, I have to say...you're stunning! It was so special for me and Mike to share in your happiness. Congratulations again!

Jessica and Michael are getting married

When we first met Jessica and Michael a few months ago, we knew right away we were going to have a blast shooting their wedding. That premonition was indeed justified last Sunday when we took a few engagement portraits for them. They had the fantastic idea of using the Alfred Caldwell Lilly Pool as their backdrop. Mike and I have literally walked by this amazing garden, hidden in plain sight in the middle of Lincoln Park, a hundred times and never knew it existed. The good news is that we had the place to ourselves. The bad news is that a torrential downpour, thunder and lightening started half way through the session. Still, we maintained our streak of never having to cancel due to weather and managed to snap quite a few fun photos of these two...and their amazing dog, Hank,...and not get too soggy in the process. Thanks for a great time, you two! Can't wait for your big day in August.

Peggy and Nick are getting married

Nick had said he had signed them up for a "sailing lesson" one afternoon in June. But it didn't take long for Peggy to realize he had a much bigger reason for being on that sailboat. Today they celebrated their "pre-anniversary." And what better way to get excited for their big day, one year away, than to capture engagement photos at the marina downtown and in Millennium Park. Mike and I loved getting to know Peggy and Nick. It was obvious they were meant to be together. They made each other smile...and they made us smile, too. Thanks so much for a great morning, you guys! We had such a blast. Enjoy every minute of the next year of wedding planning!
