When I first met Jesseca and Jeff last December to start discussing their wedding, one of the things Jess was most excited about was taking photos at Jeff's parent's lake house in Elkhorn, Wisconsin. The house is a favorite family gathering spot and had huge sentimental value for the bride and groom. In the subsequent months, even during our fun, snowy engagement session, excitement for photos on the pier at the lake house dominated our conversation. That's why, when it started to rain as Mike and I entered into Wisconsin on the morning of Jess and Jeff's wedding, I was completely disappointed. And, man, once the rain started it really didn't stop for the entire day. I can't give the bride and groom enough credit...they remained calm and cool about the rain and never once let it phase them. Jess and Jeff were awesome sports and we were still able to get some fun shots at the Fairgrounds as well as plenty of coveted lake house shots. I am still thanking God that the rain let up to a light drizzle for the 15 minutes we needed outside at each location! The rest of the day went off without a hitch. And I have to admit, Jess and Jeff's dance floor was certainly the liveliest of our entire season, much thanks to the mad break dancing skills showed off by the groom. Thank you so much, Jesseca and Jeff, for having us be a part of your big day. Mike and I loved getting to know you both and wish you every happiness.
