Meet Laila

I was in heaven. Sunday's shoot had all of the fixings for a great time. Beautiful Laila with her big brown eyes and head full of curly hair. An outstanding wardrobe full of fun clothes and some great props furnished by mom, Shilpa, who had some really great ideas for setups. Soft morning light. And (always the icing on the cake for me) the family cat, Chester, who was more than accommodating for a few sweet family portraits. What a blast, Shilpa and Dan! It was so great meeting you. Olivia's Numero Uno

Little Olivia was definitely ready for her first birthday bash on Saturday morning at Kid City. The venue was super cute...and so was the birthday girl. She had plenty of smiles for her best friends and family and laughed and clapped her way through the party. It was so sweet for me and Mike to witness the wonder and pride that Lizette and Charles felt on this special day. Thank you so much for having us be a part of such a great party! It was nice seeing you guys again.

Jessica and Michael's Wedding

Because we all hit it off so well when we first met for a cup of coffee to discuss the wedding this spring, and because we had so much fun together shooting engagement photos, Mike and I had really been looking forward to Jessica and Michael's wedding. And last Saturday, it definitely didn't disappoint! I love the emotion in every one of these photographs. You can just feel the love and excitement of the day. All of Jessica's thoughtful details really pulled together...and, ah...that first dance. The bride and groom met at a swing class, and as you can see, the time spent on the dance floor that night was just amazing. Thank you, Jessica and Michael, for having us be a part of your big day. We enjoyed every minute!

PS: Love how Mike and I separately captured the bride and groom pre-ceremony, talking to each other on the phone, in the same pose no less, in their hotel suites one floor apart as they got ready. Are we on the same wave-length or what? Love you, Mike!
