Spring has sprung

We always have such a blast with these guys. Last Sunday we hit the park with Carson, Zoe, PI and Steve and enjoyed the beautiful Spring weather. We swung, teeter-tottered, climbed, slid, dangled and played in the dirt. It was a great morning!

Put a ring on it

The photographers who shot our wedding took the first professional pictures of me that I have ever liked. They made the process comfortable, fun and effortless. It was like having friends capture our big day. Anyone who knows me knows that I am much more comfortable behind the camera than in front of it. But Genevieve and James made me feel like a movie star. The pictures they captured were candid, artistic and worthy of a full-page spread in The Knot Magazine. We'll treasure them forever.

As Mike and I are blessed to have JSP continue to grow, we would like to offer our clients the same wedding photography experience we were lucky to have. We were excited to recently launch a wedding package on our website. It is similar to our other photo packages...simple and affordable...and we vow to shoot weddings the same way we shoot our portrait and event sessions: naturally, candidly, with close attention to detail and as your new friends.

We would like to celebrate this new package and exciting next step with you. So, the first five brides and grooms to book a 2010 wedding with us will do so at half-price ($800), and their package will include a complimentary 1-hour engagement photo session. And, the first ten brides and grooms to book our new wedding package for 2011 (see details on our website) will also receive a complimentary 1-hour engagement photo session.

So big

Our little friend Logan has gotten SO BIG since we saw him last winter! He's smiling all the time, crawling expertly and seriously considering taking his first steps. We had beautiful weather on Saturday and enjoyed a fun morning in the park with Lisa, Jeff and Logan. Thanks for a great time, you guys! It's always wonderful to see you.

When it rains

Man were they troupers! This family offers a great example of why you shouldn't rush to reschedule your session if the weather turns out to be less than agreeable at the time of your shoot. Even though little Evan thought we were all slightly crazy, after getting a ton of cuddly family shots inside with the family dog, Dex, we ventured out into the chilly, rainy, gray Saturday morning to brave the elements and experiment with a few shots around Wrigley Field. It was totally worth it. The light was so pretty and everyone loved the moody effect of the wet brick. The outdoor pictures are some of my favorites from the entire shoot! Jackie and Dave, thanks so much for a great time. We loved getting to know you both and little Evan...surely the city's next biggest Cubs fan!
