This is what Mike and I (and all of Chicagoland) woke up to this morning. A beautiful snow, but also a disappointment for two people who mistakenly let Spring fever creep into their lives prematurely. Keep in mind that none of these images were retouched in black and white...

Happy St. Patrick's Day

My friend Lachelle and I headed into the madness to witness the St. Patrick's Day festivities downtown. Yes, the city actually does dye the river green. We hit downtown shortly after the parade and it looked like there were two rivers...one made up of dirty, dyed water and the other of tipsy, loud, green-clad revelers trying to cross the Michigan Avenue bridge! Lach and I felt semi out of place without shamrock hats or green feather boas...they were selling these items on the street, but we resisted the purchase. Maybe next year.
