Meet Eleanor

Do you remember Sarah, Eric and their lovable dog, Scout, from their family maternity session back in January? Well...it's time to meet their beautiful new baby girl, Eleanor! It's one of the best parts of this job, to get to know a family and watch them grow. Eleanor was a wee bit skeptical about her first professional close-up, but despite a few small meltdowns (which Mike and I found adorable!), she did a great job! We are so happy for you, Sarah and Eric. Congratulations, and enjoy every minute with Eleanor.

Summer Sessions

I know, I know. The weather is JUST getting nice. Spring fever is just setting in. We've all just begun to remember how awesome summers in Chicago are. But it's time to think ahead a little bit if you are interested in a summer photography session. A Family Affair

It's always really special when grandparents join in on photo sessions. It means double (in this case triple!) the cuddles and happy family moments. Both sets of grandparents were in town recently to celebrate their little James turning one. Man, did James get big since Mike and I saw him last year! James was one of our very first clients, and it was so special to be able to meet his extended family and get to capture such an exciting time in their lives. Thanks so much, Elizabeth and John! We had such a great time.

Numero Uno

I'm so glad Tyler's parents decided to commemorate their son's up-coming first birthday with a photo shoot. Tyler has some adorable expressions...they are varied and fleeting, and I was just thrilled to capture so many of them. Tyler is very proud of his new-found walking skills, and will no doubt be on the go faster than his parents think! I also love all of the cuddly, smiley moments that happened during this shoot. They really represent how happy this family is together. We loved getting to know you, Jen and Steve! Thanks for a great time.
